Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision in a New Jersey hospital setting. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and patient satisfaction across multiple tasks from admission to discharge.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and complete a CNA/MA/PCT program or be eligible for the HMH PCT Apprenticeship. The program offers growth and hands-on training in patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of one of CNA/MA/PCT programs or equivalent training.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a team with RN supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Record vital signs, collect specimens, and document in patient records.
• Support patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe transitions.
• Perform basic procedures (venipuncture, EKG, glucose testing) as directed.
