Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and listed on the state Illinois CNA Registry OR Nursing student who has completed one clinical rotation.
• BLS through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clinical/patient care related functions under RN or physician guidance, including specimen collection, EKGs, catheter management, telemetry, bladder scanning and point-of-care testing.
• Assists with personal hygiene, nutrition and daily living activities; conducts hourly patient rounds.
• Documents patient data and assists with ambulation and mobility as per care plan.
• Responds to call lights promptly and maintains a safe, clean clinical environment.
• Participates in learning, training and performance improvement activities.
