Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to ensure smooth flow from check-in to physician encounter. You will prepare patients, verify histories, and conduct basic screenings to support efficient doctor visits.

You will manage the EMR inbox, route messages, and follow up on medications to maintain clinical flow. You will also educate patients by asking them to restate instructions to confirm understanding.

Qualifications

• HIPAA & Safety policies – Protects privacy and follows safety requirements.
• Infection prevention and OSHA – Applies infection control and safety standards.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: verify medications/allergies, document history, conduct screenings.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox with routing for messages, results, follow-ups; aim for same-day touch.
• Education & Loop-Back: ensure patient understands next steps by having them repeat instructions.
