Job summary

CenterWell Senior Primary Care in Hampton, VA is seeking a Medical Assistant to keep the flow between check-in and the doctor. You will perform intake, basic health checks, and patient education to help ensure patients receive quality care while allowing physicians to focus on medical decisions.

In this onsite role, you will manage the EMR inbox, verify medications and allergies, document patient history, and conduct screenings as needed.

• HIPAA & Safety policies – Protect privacy and follow safety requirements.
• Infection prevention and OSHA – Follow infection control and safety standards.
• Computer literacy and EMR navigation.

Responsibilities

• Intake & Clinical Rooming: verify meds, allergies, patient history, and screenings.
• Inbox & Worklist Management: manage EMR inbox and ensure same-day touchpoints.
• Education & Loop-Back: confirm patient understanding by having them restate instructions.
