Job summary

Humana / CenterWell Senior Primary Care is seeking an onsite Medical Assistant to prepare patients before doctor visits, verify medications and allergies, and document history. You will support clinicians by managing the EMR inbox, routing charts, lab results, and medication adherence with pharmacies.

You will also educate patients, ensuring they understand next steps through loop-back and clear communication, contributing to safer, smoother visits and better patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an MA training program or have at least 3 years of experience in medical assisting.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, safety policies and infection control standards.
• Basic computer literacy and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Intake & clinical rooming with vitals, med/allergy verification, and patient history.
• Manage EMR inbox and routing for messages, labs, and med adherence follow-ups.
• Educate patients using loop-back to confirm understanding and next steps.
