Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant 2 for CenterWell Senior Primary Care. You will be the first contact for patient care, handling clinical duties and administrative tasks with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers.

The role involves discussing symptoms, taking vital signs, administering medications, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and keeping the electronic medical records up to date. TB screening and compliance with care standards are required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• TB screening required due to TB program

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms with patients and take vital signs.
• Administer medications/vaccines and perform phlebotomy as allowed by certification.
• Maintain examination rooms and document in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver care.
