Job summary

HealthTexas is seeking a Patient Care Representative in Schertz, TX to manage front desk operations, patient registration, and insurance verification. You will support a smooth patient flow, coordinate with medical staff, and uphold HIPAA privacy standards in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of physician office experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.

Qualifications

• One year of physician office experience, including ICD, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Knowledge of managed care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; check in patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Maintain appointment schedules and verify referrals.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with registrations and checkout.
• Process payments and maintain cash drawer per procedure.
• Maintain patient charts and EMR documentation; ensure confidentiality.
