Job summary

Sentara Health in Edenton, NC, is hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist to deliver non-clinical support in a physician’s office. You will answer phones, schedule appointments, and help patients with questions, contributing to an excellent patient experience.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a comprehensive benefits package and potential incentive opportunities depending on performance. The role requires a HS Diploma and 3 years of customer service experience, with a preference

Sentara Family & Internal Medicine Physicians is now hiring a full-time Patient Care Specialist in Edenton, NC !

Clinic Hours

Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.

As a Patient Care Specialist with Sentara Healthcare, you will provide non-clinical support within a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. In this role, you will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.

Education

• HS Diploma ( Required )
• Associate Level degree or higher in lieu of the required experience will be considered

Experience

• 3 years Customer Service experience ( Required )
• 1 year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers ( Required )

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $21.69 - $32.44 hourly.

Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
