Job summary

Ottobockcare Clinton Township clinic seeks an on-site Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) to greet patients, manage scheduling and documentation, and support front desk operations. You will assist with insurance processes and patient communications to ensure smooth visits.

The role emphasizes strong organizational, communication, and service skills in a medical setting, with a focus on HIPAA compliance and patient satisfaction. On-site, full-time position in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office and databases.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Office administrative management experience, preferably in a medical/dental/therapy office.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid preferred.
• Insurance verification experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative front desk support by answering calls, taking messages, routing, and notifying appropriate individuals.
• Assist with scheduling or modifying patient appointments.
• Ensure customers receive the best service and concerns are resolved.
• Communicate with patients for scheduling, financial responsibility, and required documentation.
• Obtain medical documentation from physicians and facilities as applicable.
• Perform initial insurance verification and assist in securing authorizations.
• Create patient profiles in the Medical Record system.
• Light shipping/receiving of medical devices and components.
• Maintain a clean office environment.
• Accept cash payments from patients.
• Comply with HIPAA and corporate compliance.
