Qualifications

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic coding required.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming calls and directs to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules new and returning patients and referrals in the EMR system.
• Collects co-pays and other payments at visit time.
• Maintains scheduling templates for physician and satellite clinics.
• Arranges optional financial counseling for patients as needed.
• Protects patient confidentiality and follows office policies.
• Supports other front office functions as needed.
• Prepares correspondence and forms for supervisor.
