Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and serve as primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails.
• Schedule and optimize provider appointments, manage cancellations.
• Send confirmations and reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data into EMR.
• Explain coverage and patient financial responsibility.
• Prepare charts and documentation ahead of visits.
• Collect charges and payments in EMR and assist with submissions.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to minimize bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to patients.
• Coordinate with clinical/optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support retention via recalls and follow-ups.
• Maintain organized, clean front office.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Practice Manager.
