AEG Vision is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator in El Paso to manage front desk operations and support patient flow across care teams. You will greet patients, answer calls, schedule and optimize provider calendars, and ensure smooth appointments with proactive communications.

You will verify insurance, enter data into EMR, collect charges, and generate reports to keep billing current. A detail-oriented, patient-focused team member will thrive in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to learn EMR/PM systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a patient-centered approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Ability to proactively identify issues and contribute to solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and act as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Schedule appointments and optimize provider schedules, including cancellations and reschedules.
• Confirm appointments and send reminders to reduce no-shows.
• Verify insurance eligibility and enter patient data into EMR accurately.
• Collect charges and process co-pays/payments in EMR; allocate balances and assist with claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Support patient retention with follow-up, recalls, and reactivation of appointments.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth patient transitions.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk environment and handle other duties as assigned.
