Job summary

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, pharmacy technician registration, customer service experience, and familiarity with healthcare systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or certification (or commitment to obtain within 60 days).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Experience with data entry, healthcare systems, and medical terminology.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and related technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing patient care by coordinating prescription refills, outreach, and documentation throughout specialty or infusion therapy.
• Communicate professionally with patients and providers to gather required information, lab results, and prescription renewals.
• Submit insurance re-authorizations and prior authorizations as needed to prevent delays in therapy.
• Ensure clinical and regulatory compliance by asking required screening questions and escalating concerns to a pharmacist when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate patient records, demographic information, and insurance documentation in designated systems.
• Collaborate daily with pharmacy operations teams to support timely dispensing, shipping, and refill coordination.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact while adhering to all state Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA, and applicable laws.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient support workflows while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.
