Job summary

LUX Infusion is reimagining infusion care with light, warmth, and connection. This Patient Support Specialist role supports patient outreach, refill coordination, and pharmacy support, helping patients stay on therapy with clarity and care.

You’ll work on coordination of refills, documentation, and authorizations, ensuring HIPAA compliance and strong collaboration with pharmacists and clinicians to deliver safe, effective treatment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or certification in good standing (or commitment to obtain required registration within 60 days, as permitted by state law).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Experience with data entry, technology navigation, and basic medical terminology.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prescription refill outreach and follow‑up.
• Gather required documentation from patients and provider offices to support therapy continuation.
• Submit insurance re‑authorizations and prior authorizations as needed.
• Communicate professionally with patients and providers while complying with all state pharmacy regulations and HIPAA requirements.
• Escalate concerns to a pharmacist when needed.
• Serve as a point of contact for provider offices and help maintain strong referral relationships.
• Collaborate with pharmacy operations teams to support daily workflow needs.
• Assist with processing e‑scripts, faxes, refills, labels, and delivery coordination.
• Maintain accurate patient, insurance, and referral documentation in designated systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient support processes while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service.
