Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Extends courtesies to patients, staff, and visitors in a prompt and responsive manner.
• Assists in monitoring visitor/employee access and alerts security as necessary.
• Recognizes difficult situations and escalates appropriately.
• Assists and directs patients, staff and visitors per hospital policies.
• Answers phone promptly and transfers calls per NMH standards using AIDET.
• Coordinates calls on multiple lines and responds to nurse call system messages.
