Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician in Suwanee, GA to support PSC and in-office PVTS operations. You will conduct venipuncture and specimen handling with patient-friendly communication, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Lab procedures.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and maintaining records, while providing courteous service to clients and patients. On-site role with standard working hours and a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Required in Louisiana).

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and ensures courteous service.
• Ensures field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture process clearly.
• Disposes of biohazardous materials per laws and policies.
• Enters patient, specimen, insurance, and billing information into computer systems.
• Matches requisitions to specimens and processes according to protocol.
• Packages and stores specimens maintaining required temperatures and integrity.
• Maintains records and logs for PSC/IOPST and monthly statistics.
• Performs basic clerical duties and electronic data entry.
