Job summary

PathGroup is seeking a Patient Services Technician to support the PSC and in-office PST operations. You will interact professionally with clients and patients, perform phlebotomy and specimen processing, and ensure accurate data entry and documentation in PathGroup systems.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to safety and privacy policies, with an on-site location in Valdosta, GA. Previous phlebotomy experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred (Louisiana requirements).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens per established procedures and explains venipuncture clearly.
• Disposes of biohazard fluids and contaminated sharps per laws and policies.
• Completes requisitions accurately in PathConnect and related systems.
• Enters patient/specimen/billing data with high accuracy.
• Matches requisitions to specimens; labels, centrifuges, and processes as required.
• Packages specimens for transport and stores them at required temperatures.
