Job summary

PathGroup seeks a diligent Patient Services Technician in Marietta, GA to support PSC operations and in-office patient services. You will collect specimens with care, enter data accurately, and communicate professionally with clients and patients.

This role emphasizes phlebotomy, specimen processing, and compliance with safety and privacy policies. A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred, with at least 1 year of related experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; may be required per state guidelines.
• Phlebotomist Certification preferred; (Required in Louisiana).
• At least 1 year of prior job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers appropriately and treats all customers courteously.
• Ensures all phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and on time.
• Collects specimens and explains venipuncture procedures clearly to patients.
• Disposes of biohazardous materials per laws and policies.
• Enters patient and billing information into PathConnect and other systems.
• Labels, centrifuges, and prepares specimens for testing as required.
• Packages specimens for transport and maintains specimen integrity.
• Maintains daily PSC/IOPST logs and records.
