Job summary

Samaritan is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to manage referrals, authorizations, scheduling leads and follow-up care. You will protect physician and MA capacity while supporting increased patient volume and facility revenue.

This full-time role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, insurance familiarity, and excellent communication. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with opportunities to contribute to a patient-centered team in our local clinic.

Qualifications

• Associates degree; experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum of one (1) year of medical office experience preferred.
• Background in medical terminology, insurance, CPT codes or ICD codes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules consultation and diagnostic appointments for patients per provider order.
• Completes requested forms and obtains insurance authorization for appointments.
• Contacts patients with appointment time, location and preparation information.
• Maintains registration with patient demographics and current insurance information.
• Acts as system navigator and point of contact for patients and families.
