Qualifications

• One year of progressive responsibility and directly related work experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records; EPIC is a plus.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Answers multiple phone calls.
• Responds to customer requests including appointment scheduling and routing of calls.
• Calls Insurance/Payers to check eligibilities and obtain prior authorizations.
• Communicates with providers regarding scheduling preferences and urgent patient needs.
• Provides doctor-patient support using reference documents and online knowledge base tools.
• Maintains paging directory databases and internal forms.
• Uses EMR and telephone system to perform tasks.
• Resolves patient problems of limited scope and complexity.
• Adheres to confidentiality and decorum.
