Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Primary Care team in McMurray, PA. This on-site, full-time role supports providers by coordinating patient care, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and documenting in the electronic health record according to AHN protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a Medical Assistant program credential, High School diploma, and certification within 120 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Assists in coordinating examination, treatment and care under supervision.
• Prepares and rooms patients; obtains vital signs and screening data.
• Documents in the EHR and maintains accurate records.
• CPR certification and background checks required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care using team-based approach.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures.
• Patch in orders for screenings and medication refills per protocol.
• Perform back-office testing and maintain inventory per policy.
• May float between physician offices as needed.
