Optum is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator to support billing, payments, and inquiries, while helping patients navigate insurance coverage and Medicaid applications. The role involves processing applications, resolving issues, and coordinating with multiple departments to ensure smooth patient experiences.

The position requires a high school diploma, 1+ years in related roles, and availability to work 7:30am–5pm with occasional overtime. An external candidate sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of accurate data entry across multiple systems.
• 1+ years of administrative support, customer service, or healthcare operations.
• Ability to work 7:30am–5pm and occasional overtime, weekends or holidays as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with billing, patient payments and inquiries.
• Process applications and assist with insurance coverage issues.
• Help patients apply for Medicaid and related programs.
• Assist with Medicaid and financial assistance processing as needed.
