Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of office experience preferred
• 6+ months of healthcare experience preferred
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner
• Verifies insurance information, registers new patients
• Answers incoming calls and directs messages
• Schedules appointments and responds to patient needs
• Assists with new client paperwork and insurance information
• Maintains patient confidentiality and handles payments
• Uses the Athena electronic health record (EHR) system
• Keeps daily schedule on track and communicates conflicts to the provider team apprehensions
