Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Harbor is seeking a patient services team member to facilitate medical record requests, greet patients, verify insurance, and schedule appointments in a full-time daytime role. This position supports a welcoming, efficient patient flow and timely care.

• Facilitates medical record requests accurately and timely.
• Greets and directs patients in a friendly, welcoming, and timely manner.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and verifies coverage prior to appointments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates medical record requests accurately and timely.
• Greets and directs patients in a friendly, welcoming, and timely manner.
• Demonstrates knowledge of department policies and procedures to assist patients appropriately.
• Answers the telephone and handles calls in a timely and friendly manner, including documentation.
• Collects required documents such as insurance cards and photo IDs for encounters.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments to minimize no-shows.
• Obtains/distributes medical records and patient information to support care.
• Collects copays, deposits, deductibles and other payments at service time.
