Forefront Dermatology in Vienna, VA is seeking a Patient Service Representative to support front desk operations, check-in patients, verify insurance, and manage a multi-line phone system.

You will scan documents into the EHR, maintain waiting area tidiness, and assist with appointments and basic administrative tasks, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of medical office experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Typing speed of at least 40 wpm preferred.
• Attention to detail; ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; compassionate and caring in dealing with others.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties.
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance.
• Scans documents into electronic health record.
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter.
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments.
• Schedules follow up appointments as needed.
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record.
• Orders clinic office supplies.
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products.
• Distributes mail.
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments.
