Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Medical Receptionist to provide top-tier patient greeting, scheduling, and front-office support. You will handle insurance verifications, record-keeping, and patient flow to ensure a smooth, friendly visit in a high-volume dermatology practice.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, excellent communication, and teamwork with the Office Manager and clinical staff to maintain exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• High School level education.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs and insurance policies preferred.
• Type 40 wpm.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel are required.
• Must be personable, dependable, and responsible with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must have a positive attitude with impeccable customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating the efficient and timely entry of the patient to the office setting.
• Greeting all patients in a professional manner.
• Distributing literature and forms and ensuring accuracy/completion.
• Copying insurance IDs and driver’s licenses; perform general office tasks.
• Support the front office administrators and Office Manager in various operations.
• Pulling and filing patient records; frequent telephone outreach and scheduling support; new patient chart setup.
