Job summary

Pulmonary Associates of Richmond is seeking two Patient Care Representatives to perform patient check-in/out and a range of administrative tasks at our West Broad location in Richmond, VA. You will work in a team-oriented environment with a focus on excellent patient service.

The role requires greeting patients, data entry in Allscripts, insurance processing, and scheduling. Pay ranges from $17.50 to $20.00 per hour, with benefits including 401(k), health and vision insurance, disability

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; front desk or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical practice or customer service is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and instruct them on the Phreesia pad.
• Enter demographic and insurance data on all patients and acknowledge patients in Allscripts.
• Scan financial paperwork and insurance cards.
• Obtain referrals when required.
• Check patient out in Allscripts.
• Schedule follow up appointments and tests.
• Complete order forms and give instructions to patients.
• Call patients to schedule/reschedule appointments.
• Complete daily administrative tasks: mail appointment reminders, scan and file documents, respond to patient messages in EMR.
• Maintain EMR: fax daily notes and LabCorp orders, clear orders from results tab.
• Assist Medical Assistants with daily workload.
• Adhere to high standards of customer service and HIPAA policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
