Qualifications

• 1+ year MA experience in medical practice preferred.
• CNA or Certified MA training completion or equivalent preferred.
• EMR systems: 1 year experience preferred.
• Vital signs: 1 year experience preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prep charts; preload and scan patient charts into EMR.
• Obtain current vitals, patient history, current medications, and reason for visit.
• Document patient activity accurately.
• Return patient calls for refills and questions.
• Complete provider orders (DME oxygen setup, sleep studies, follow-ups).
• Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and medications.
• Utilize inventory management system for inventory and supplies.
• Schedule new clinic patients and explain policies.
• Send prescriptions as needed.
• Manage medication and ancillary inventory.
• Give injections and schedule testing.
