You will work with the care team to ensure smooth patient flow and accurate documentation. Responsibilities include scheduling, follow-up coordination, and potential cross-training as a medical assistant.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical office performing scheduling, check-in/out, insurance verification, co-pays, and maintaining medical records.
• Ability to travel to other local offices as required.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile.
• Assists patients with signing in and completing registration.
• Enters and scans patient demographics and insurance information into Epic.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and informs patients of benefits.
• Collects co-payments and patient balances.
• Answers incoming calls promptly and directs messages.
• Coordinate follow-up care and schedule referrals, obtaining necessary authorizations.
• Cross-train as a medical assistant as needed.
• Support the care team to deliver excellent customer service.
