Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator in Seattle to serve as the first point of contact for patients and providers. You will organize daily activities, gather patient information, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while upholding high standards of customer service.

The role requires strong organizational skills, experience in healthcare or customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of customer service or healthcare experience.
• 1+ years of computer proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Preferred: experience with Epic EMR, scheduling and insurance verification.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person or on the phone and provide instruction as needed.
• Obtain accurate patient information and verify insurance details.
• Perform insurance verification on the service date.
• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments as directed.
• Maintain an organized work area and complete documentation accurately.
• Support team goals and comply with policies including HIPAA and OSHA.
