Optum NY/NJ is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our Bethpage, NY team. The role involves greeting patients, assisting with registration, verifying insurance, and coordinating follow-up care.

You will work with a large care delivery network to support efficient operations and patient experience. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1+ year of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, plus 6+ months in customer service or healthcare.

Qualificações

• Minimum high school education required.
• Experience in customer service or healthcare is preferred.
• Ability to travel 10% to cover other offices if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients, family members and guests with a friendly smile.
• Assists patients with signing in and completing registration.
• Follow the payment security policy per Optum guidelines.
• Answer incoming calls courteously and direct or relay messages.
• Maintain a work queue and complete pending actions (referrals, scheduling).
• Enter and verify patient demographics and insurance information in EPIC.
• Collect co-pays and patient balances.
• Coordinate follow-up care and schedule referrals with authorization where needed.
• Support onboarding of new employees and manage daily schedule.
