Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• Experience in medical office or hospital registration.
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Demonstrates the ability to type at 45 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Handles scheduling for outpatient and ancillary visits.
• Checks schedules to meet patient first-choice dates/times.
• Confirms and updates appointments with patients by phone.
• Conducts follow-up reminders via phone, SMS, or email.
• Performs insurance verification and informs patients of costs.
• Collects insurance and demographic data and updates the system.
• Communicates estimated charges prior to appointments.
• Ensures eligibility and authorizations are complete before visits.
• Provides non-clinical instructions to manage expectations.
• Collaborates with clinical departments to coordinate schedules.
• Delivers results for KPIs as set by Clinic Manager.
• Follows detailed instructions; 45 wpm typing required.
