Job summary

ProHealth Physicians, part of the Optum family, is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our Branford, CT clinic. You will verify insurance, schedule visits, manage referrals, and support billing in a collaborative team environment.

Hours are 8am-6pm Monday–Friday with alternating Saturday shifts. AHS diploma and healthcare/administrative experience are preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years healthcare, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Verify, re-verify and authorize insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Manage patient information, co-pays, scheduling, and referrals.
• Coordinate patient visits and communicate appointment details.
• Assist with billing, patient education, and care coordination.
• Maintain records and document in the computer system.
