ProHealth Physicians has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detail oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. May be asked to float to local practices in the region for coverage.

Location: 1251 Farmington Ave. Bristol, CT

Schedule: M-F 8am – 4:30pm or 9am-5pm closing shift 9:45am 6:15pm, Sat 1 every 3 months from 7:30am-12:30pm

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time within the region area, must have reliable transportation
  • Schedule and triage appointment requests for urgency according to approved protocols consistent with ProHealth’s Appointment and Scheduling Guidelines. Consult a medical assistant or licensed clinician for clinical decision making whenever necessary
  • Use call processing and other applicable functionality in the EHR to take messages and communicate with clinicians
  • Greet patients and conduct check-in process
  • Monitor daily reminder call logs to reschedule appointments as needed
  • Scan and index documents into the EHR; ensure that necessary documents, lab results, etc. are available in advance of patient visits
  • Close payment batch(es) at the end of each shift, assemble and balance batch(es) according to ProHealth cash control procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of current OSHA and ProHealth policies
  • Assist coworkers as needed to assure smooth office operation and delivery of excellent service through teamwork
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of experience working in a customer service environment OR working in a professional setting using a computer and telephone
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft office
Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ months of experience as a receptionist in a healthcare setting
  • 6+ months of experience working with an electronic health record

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $29.00 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
