Nflsurgeons in Crestview, FL is seeking a Healthcare Support Specialist to coordinate patient care and serve as a liaison among patients, medical staff, and providers. The role emphasizes front-desk duties, scheduling, and accurate information handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience scheduling in a medical office is preferred.
• Experience with medical EHR systems, Athena preferred.
• Orthopedics or Pain Management experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.
• Registers walk-in new patients and updates/verifies demographics, including insurance or financial information.
• Checks patients in through intake to facilitate patient flow and inform providers of arrivals.
• Schedules in-house MRI scans and referrals.
• Schedules and reschedules future patient appointments.
• Collects copays, coinsurances, and allowable payments; reconciles daily payments.
• Verifies insurance and prepares clinic schedules.
• Responds to inquiries courteously from patients and visitors.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and protects rights.
• Keeps clinic supplies stocked by anticipating inventory.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
