Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, customers, and vendors professionally and serve as the primary contact for patient interactions.
• Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and manage emails or digital communications.
• Schedule patient appointments and optimize provider schedules, including cancellations/reschedules.
• Execute appointment confirmations and reminders to reduce no-show rates.
• Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics; enter data in EMR.
• Communicate coverage, benefits, and patient financial responsibility clearly.
• Prepare patient charts and documentation before visits to support flow.
• Record charges, co-pays, and payments in EMR; manage balances and submit claims.
• Run reports to ensure charges are billed and up to date.
• Monitor daily patient flow and adjust schedules to reduce bottlenecks.
• Communicate wait times and next steps to maintain positive experience.
• Coordinate with clinical and optical teams for smooth transitions.
• Support retention through recall and annual/medically necessary appointments.
• Maintain organized, clean front office and assist as needed by managers.
