Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 preferred: Medical Admin Assistant Cert1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors with courtesy, service, respect and privacy.
• Acts as central communication source in patient care.
• Takes complete and accurate information from patients/callers.
• Performs check in, registration, scheduling, and demographic verification.
• Registers patients in computer system and ensures data accuracy.
• Schedules, reschedules and cancels appointments.
• Obtains referrals and collects co-pays.
• Maintains welcoming reception area and signage.
• Ensures translation services in Spanish when needed.
