Job summary

Optum in Fort Worth, TX is hiring for a patient services role. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and manage records. You will handle calls, schedule appointments, and support pre-authorizations.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 6+ months in customer service, and basic MS Office proficiency; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. On-site hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months in customer service.
• Beginner level proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and manage wait times.
• Check-in/out with patient demographics and insurance verification.
• Complete pre-authorizations and/or precertifications.
• Collect co-pays and process payments.
• Operate cashier functions and handle deposits.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Maintain medical records and ensure proper filing/scanning.
• Support logging and logging of medical records release requests.
