Job summary

Orthopedic Physicians Alaska in Anchorage is looking for a Reception Specialist at OPA Foot & Ankle to deliver outstanding patient service. You will answer calls, schedule appointments, verify insurance, and assist with precertifications.

This full-time role includes benefits, a competitive hourly wage, and a collaborative team. Primary duties cover scheduling, payments, data entry, and liaison with billing and other departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Six months of customer service experience.
• Experience in medical billing or pre-certification tasks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to all patients.
• Perform insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage limits and options.
• Work closely with the billing and other departments providing services.
• Schedule appointments, answer phones, data entry.
• Collect deposits and co-pays.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
