Job summary

OrthoAlaska in Anchorage, AK seeks a Patient Scheduling Specialist (OP A–Anchorage) to join our growing team as a Patient Advocate. You will handle calls, emails, and in-person requests, registering and scheduling patients with providers according to protocol.

Ideal candidates have strong customer service, can multitask in a fast-paced medical environment, and maintain patient-first communication. The role includes a signing bonus, competitive benefits, 401(k), and PTO starting at three weeks

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service or six months of medical office experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of insurance and billing (preferred).
• Experience with scheduling software or EHR systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls.
• Register and schedule patients with providers based on protocol.
• Collaborate with medical providers and staff to ensure best outcomes for patients.
• Handle inquiries with a patient-first, courteous approach.
