Job summary

HealthTexas Primary Care Doctors in San Antonio seeks a front desk associate to manage appointment scheduling, patient registration, and insurance verification, plus checkout. You’ll contribute to growth and patient service while upholding our mission and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate 10-key calculator, telephone, computer, copier, and fax.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors and handles registration and scheduling.
• Verifies insurance coverage and handles checkout and payments.
• Maintains patient charts and updates EMR with required information.
• Responds to calls, screens inquiries, and routes to appropriate staff.
• Ensures HIPAA privacy and maintains a clean, organized lobby.
