Job summary

Hopscotch Primary Care in Asheville, NC seeks a Welcome Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients, setting a warm, patient-centered tone and handling phone and electronic communications, reception, scheduling, and front office operations.

Based in our clinic, M-F 8-5, this role involves greeting patients, verifying insurance, collecting copays, updating records, assisting with paperwork, and coordinating outreach and transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years minimum experience in a customer service and customer-facing role.
• Proficiency with computers.
• Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check patients in and out
• Verify insurance and collect copays
• Verify and update patient information in the electronic health record
• Assist patients with forms and paperwork
• Schedule patients and conduct outreach to them
• Coordinate transportation for patients
• Prepare and process medical records
• Answer calls, take messages, and distribute communication across the care team via phone and electronic health record.
• Other duties as assigned
