MFM Health in Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Patient Care Representative to support its Primary Care Department. The role requires excellent communication skills, computer proficiency, and superb customer service, with consideration for prior medical office and EMR experience.

Key duties include greeting patients, checking in, updating demographics and insurance data, collecting co-pays, and assisting patients with the Patient Portal.

Formación

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience in customer service or related administrative role; healthcare experience preferred.
• Medical office/EMR experience desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent patient service to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Greet patients and visitors and check in for appointments.
• Update demographics and insurance information as needed.
• Collect co-pays and outstanding balances; understand insurance questions.
• Assist with Patient Portal access and encourage use.
• Answer phones, schedule appointments, manage portal messages.
• Process forms, referrals, and prescriptions; forward to clinical staff.
• Monitor patient records for alerts and coordinate with providers.
• Schedule follow-ups, tests, and imaging as appropriate.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy protocols.
