Cooley Dickinson Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, is hiring a Patient Care Associate (PCA) for a 36-hour schedule (7:00 am–7:30 pm) in Northampton, MA. The PCA will perform direct and non-direct patient care, assist with clerical and unit duties, and may serve as an observer for patient safety.

Telemetry readiness is emphasized within the 1199SEIU unit. The role requires BLS, a high school diploma, and healthcare experience; multiple certifications and nursing-related training are

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• PCA educational objectives completed or unit-specific training required.
• 6 months to 1 year nursing assistant experience.
• 1 to 3 years secretarial experience preferred.
• Health care experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and handle stress effectively.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Typing skills and computer experience demonstrated.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine patient care activities under supervision.
• Assist with clerical, supply and messenger duties on the unit.
• Monitor patient safety and may serve as 1:1 observer as needed.
• Collaborate with licensed nursing personnel to deliver care.
• Maintain unit workflow and effective communication with team.
