Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Patient Care Associate for Cooley Dickinson Hospital. The PCA performs direct and non-direct patient care, clerical tasks, and unit duties. The role includes 1:1 observation for safety and telemetry monitoring competency in CCU.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and either nursing assistant or medical assistant credentials or active nursing student status with clinical hours. Night shift, 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Must be able to perform routine patient care under supervision.
• Healthcare certification or nursing student status with clinical hours required.
• 6–12 months nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Secretarial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct and non-direct patient care duties as assigned.
• Assist with unit duties, clerical tasks, supplies, and messenger duties.
• Monitor patient safety and assist as 1:1 observer when needed.
• Maintain competency in telemetry monitoring for CCU.
• Interact appropriately with patients at various levels of understanding.
