Job summary

Pinnacle GI Partners in Lansing is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support our outpatient surgery center. The role supports pre-op and recovery areas under RN and endo tech supervision, providing patient transport, intake, and documentation to ensure smooth procedures.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma, strong communication, and HIPAA awareness; prior medical or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• Prior experience in medical field preferred.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• HIPAA privacy rules must be followed.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to pre-op area and obtain necessary information.
• Assist with pre-op tasks and clean/stock areas.
• Meet patients in recovery, escort to vehicles, and relay information between teams.
• Check in patients for procedures using the EMR system and answer calls.
• Restock supplies and assist with miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisors.
