Job summary

United Surgical Partners International seeks a patient-care assistant to support peri-operative services. Provides direct patient care by assisting with changing linens, ambulation, and transport; maintains clean environment; assists during examinations and procedures.

Weekdays only; no holidays, weekends, or call; some later evenings. Must follow policies, maintain aseptic technique, take vital signs, document observations, and work as part of a team in a high-stress surgical setting.

Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

• Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens.
• Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior.
• Uses good body mechanics and aseptic technique.
• Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations.
• Able to take vital signs and apply V/S monitors and documents appropriately.
• Informs Manager of applicable day-to-day situations.
