Job summary

Surgery Partners seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support the pre- and post-operative care in a busy surgery center. You will assist with patient intake, turnover, and discharge preparation.

The role requires excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, and flexibility to meet OR demands. Prior patient care experience and BLS are required; CNA preferred and training offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year patient care experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• CNA license preferred and willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pre- and post-operative areas and operating room.
• Assist with patient intake for surgery, turnover, and discharge preparation.
• Stock patient bays and transport patients to vehicles for discharge.
• Order supplies and help with flow of the daily surgical schedule.
