Job summary

WATSON CLINIC ASC LLC seeks a patient helper to support nursing and center staff in pre-op and recovery areas. Responsibilities include bed making, stocking linen, vital signs, and basic clerical tasks to keep the GI Unit running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• 1–2 years hospital or surgery center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in the GI Unit as directed by RN.
• Assist in admission and discharge processes, take vital signs, escort patients.
• Clean stretchers and patient contact items; restock supplies; light housekeeping; proper waste disposal.
• Demonstrate understanding of unit patient flow for safe movement of stretchers.
• Perform clerical tasks as requested by RN; maintain patient areas.
• Maintain a hazard-free environment and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients and health team members; report to charge nurse/manager.
• Participate in unit cost containment measures by using supplies efficiently.
