Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for PRN Days at a 20-bed small-format hospital (10 ER, 10 Inpatient). Under the supervision of an RN, you will perform advanced indirect and selected direct patient care and support the nursing process.

You will assist with feeding, mobility, vital signs, and routine tasks, while maintaining clean rooms and accurate documentation. Requires English fluency, BLS, and HS diploma; nursing program enrollment or CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• 2 years of work experience in an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant or currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program; required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced indirect and selected direct patient care under RN/physician supervision.
• Take vitals, glucose checks, EKGs, monitor intake/output; document records.
• Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, meals, and transport; maintain room cleanliness.
• Ensure safe care, adhere to policies, procedures, and standards within budget and time constraints.
